Options in bold are what we expect to be applicable/of interest to most people.

Premium Installation:

Standard install includes installation up to 1m from the point of entry into the building. For larger buildings or more complex installations, we recommend upgrading to a Premium installation service, which includes installation up to 30m from the point of entry, for an additional £59+VAT cost. Most businesses will require a Premium installation.

Fault Fix Times:

As standard services include a 40 clock hour target fix time. This means that Openreach may take up to 5 working days to attempt to repair a fault with a service.

Optionally for an additional £14/month, you can subscribe to the Enhanced Care service which has a target of 20 clock hour fix time which we recommend for businesses. Or for customers who simply cannot work without their internet service, the Critical Care service gives an 8 working hour target fix time for £24/month. These costs are per-service.

Speeds:

Some speeds quoted are ‘up to’ and are dependant on your distance from the exchange, the type of service you can receive, and other environmental conditions. We will advise you of the expected speed for your location before your order is committed. Speeds are measured at the point of termination; your experience may be slower than the requested speed depending on the equipment you are using, it’s configuration, and other environmental factors.

Routers and Wifi:

These prices do not include a router or any other equipment, installation or setup – however this is a professional service we offer and will supply equipment and services to match your requirements.

Service Levels and What’s Included:

Aside from the fault fix times mentioned above, it’s important to understand what these services provide and what their limitations are before placing an order; it may be more appropriate to consider enterprise-grade ethernet services.

In addition we are expecting to be able to offer Openreach’s new Premium and Advanced installation services shortly, which allow for more complex installations of new broadband services. We will advise you if we think you need this, and the cost at the time.

When should I have Ethernet service?

1 – SOGEA and FTTP are provided without a telephone service. SOGEA FTTC is provided to your premises on the same copper cables used by the traditional telephone network but does not include any voice service. FTTP is provided to your premises using a fibre-optic cable without a voice service. SOGEA speeds are dependant on the condition of your line and distance from the exchange; FTTP services are not dependant on distance so you should always get the speed you pay for (subject to overheads and local contention).

2 – TTB MPF is similar to SOGEA but is provided on a different backbone network. This can be useful for diversity when a customer takes 2 services from us for redundancy. This service is provided on a copper line without a voice service, similarly to SOGEA.

Market A/B/Other Areas:

The above prices are based on Market B locations, which is where there is more than one network operator currently providing service. Market A locations attract a significant extra cost which we will confirm to you at the time of order. Market classifications are made by Ofcom and the prices in Market A, where only 1 network operator is able to provide service, are set by Ofcom to be higher in order to encourage other operators to install equipment and provide service at a lower cost.

In some areas, ‘AltNet’ providers are installing services which do not rely on the Openreach network infrastructure. These are not regulated at the wholesale level in the same way as Openreach-provided services and so can only be provided with a bespoke quotation for the specific AltNet who is able to provide service to you. This will be made clear at the point of order.

Terms and Conditions:

All broadband services are subject to a cancellation fee of £50 per cancelled service. This also applies to migrations. Early termination costs equal to the remainder of the contract are applicable to all services terminated prior to their contract end date. Charges for other services/items (e.g. move of socket, extra IP addresses etc) will be confirmed on request.

Our standard Cloud, Telephony and Data Services Terms and Conditions are available to view here.

All prices are quoted excluding VAT at the prevailing rate
